AVG Invisibility Glasses To Protect Your Privacy

So you hate facial recognition technology and don’t want people taking your picture without your permission? AVG’s Invisibility Glasses might help.. These glasses are being developed to combat facial recognition technology. They will work by using infrared light and retro-reflective materials:

The idea is to place infrared LEDs inserted around the eyes and the nose areas. Since the infrared lights are completely invisible to human eyes, they are only detectable by cameras which are sensitive to the wavelengths of these LEDs.

AVG is currently testing this idea. As you can see from the photos, there is more work to be done to make these perfect. You can catch these guys at Pepcom in Barcelona, next week.
